Staff Assistant

Molly Allen Associates (MAA) is now accepting applicants for a full-time Staff Assistant. The Staff Assistant will work closely with MAA Principals and Associates to provide support for our clients, manage multiple projects, and have an external-facing role representing our firm. We are based in Washington, DC. The Staff Assistant will work out of our office on Capitol Hill. 

An ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational and project management skills as well as professional verbal and written communication skills. We are looking for someone who seeks a positive office culture, enjoys working on a team and is able to represent our company ideals and values.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

  • Recent college graduates must have a minimum of 1-2 office-based internships; Ideal candidates have 6-12 months of fundraising experience, campaign experience or congressional office experience.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace is required.

  • Knowledge of NGP and/or Aristotle Campaign Manager software is ideal.

Scope:

  • Client and fundraising support responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

    • Draft invitations & memos, track RSVPs & pledges, prepare and print nametags and other materials, and interface with donors at events;

    • Coordinate with MAA team on event set-up, catering & other logistics;

    • Conduct database management & donor research;

    • Assist with call time preparation, staffing and donor follow up.

  • General office support responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Answer incoming calls, greet visitors, and providing information;

    • Receive and distribute mail;

    • Manage office supply inventory and procurement;

    • Communication with client staff for call time scheduling and management of office space;

    • Manage internal tasks and deadlines for team and Principal using Asana software.

  • Other projects as assigned by a principal or higher-level manager.
